Ok...getting a little frustrated...wrote a 4 paragraph draft for those photos...saved it repeatedly and it's gone!!!#
So I will try to remember how I said it...there were a couple of anecdotes...Mmhmm..here goes.
We arrived early in Sydney.gorgeous bustling city...like Chicago or New York but with a huge harbour. Our hotel is centrally located and beautiful. Because it's in a historic building, floors 2 to 7
aren't used. The concierge and bellman great you on the first floor, then you go up to the 8th floor, cross the lobby past a beautiful restaurant and bar and take another set of elevators to 18 th floor.
We always check out urban spoon or trip advisor for restaurant ideas...I found a nice looking restaurant within a couple of km us. We ventured to the Pyrmont fish house....it was a hot walk but scenic walk and Normie was still suffering with his leg.The man who flew through 22k a day would stop every few feet. it's hard to see him hurting. It was worth the walk. What a find!!! It happened to be in the Sydney Fish Market...it is the second largest fish market in the world and the largest the southern hemisphere....we're in southern hemisphere...as far south as Egypt is, it's not the southern hemisphere.
It was a hustling and bustling place where you had to know what do to get what you need. With impatient servers and people who knew the routine and who wanted to move ahead of me, it was hard to focus on what I needed get. I chose well...but it was $44! Yikes!!! It was so fresh! We dove into our platter of calamari, smelt, shrimp and barramundi...we decided we need to go back..
We had a less tasty meal at the food court across the street in the confusing 6 floors of Westfield mall...it is one of fanciest food courts we've seen on 6 levels. We did inquire about a meal in the 360 revolving restaurant in the tower..like our CN Tower 360..., but thought $85 per meal was a bit excessive.:-)
We got tickets for the 'hop on hop off' bus for the next two days...a good and restful way to see the city.
No anecdotes...can't remember...Hope this saves.Miss you our family and friends...
