Lisa and Tyler!!!

We were so excited to have our wonderful Lisa and Tyler come ahead schedule!!! They opted to come to Melbourne and forego Cairns because of the possibility of not being able to get a flight since they're travelling standby. It worked out for the best....not only because we got to have them for two more days, but because of a cyclone that was creating lots of rain in Cairns.
After an outdoor meeting with the grade 6 parents about the upcoming urban camp to Melbourne,(I helping supervise this three day excursion...hooray!!) I went to the train station, in hopes that i could catch Lisa and Tyler coming in from the airport. Within 5 minutes of my parking at the Berwick station, I saw two athletic, colourful, blond beautiful  backpackers  coming off the train!!! I wish we had been able to pick them up from the airport.
We spent a lovely evening together.
The next day, they spent the day exploring Melbourne and Norm and I met with them in St. Kilda's for dinner and a stroll along the esplanade. Today, this crazy couple dared to drive to continue their exploration of Victoria. They 'hired' a car and they each drove on the left to visit Mornington.
They had a great day. We waited for them at the condo social. It was a good opportunity to meet all the neighbours that Hayley had mentioned were our age. Ok Hayley...they were wonderful people...but they were great grandparents. :-)
It's the weekend and we have Lisa and Tyler to ourselves for two more days....will keep posted...Thank you for writing us...it's nice to hear how you're doing...Love the pictures of the snow!!!
