Correction

It's still summer here in Berwick! So it was the summer fair. Woke up thinking I made a mistake with the title and sure enough my brother knew it too.
My Aussie friends, please feel free to let me know if my facts are inaccurate.
Tossed and turned with fever, runny nose and sore throat. Memories of Tokyo. Will load up on drugs, vitamins and juice to go 'full on' this week. Caught 9:25 pm train home...so white night was not the reason for the cold. Must be 425 pairs of germy big and little hands.
Norm's back is100%... thank God! Rest, swimming and exercising have helped.
Way to go Canada!!! Another gold!!!
Aussies, hockey is our footy!

A busy week!!!

We loved having our Lisa and Tyler with us for a few days and and ventured out onto the Great Ocean Road. Now it was Norm's turn to drive and he was the best driver on the curves on the left side. He manoeuvered those curves and hills with first officer Tyler as navigator . The journey was just as enjoyable as the destination . We stopped along the way in Lorne, a quaint yet funky little resort town ; and at every vista along the way to take photos. We stopped for lunch in Apollo which had many tourist buses and very expensive prices . we finally arrived at our destination in Port Campbell to see the many limestone structures stately standing in the ocean. A few of them are called the 12 apostles but only eight remain as some of them have crumbled to the sea. Others were called  Loch Ard and London Bridge. That evening, in hopes of seeing penguins come out of the ocean to the shore we camped out at London Bridge to watch them come in. We we're the only ones there until a cute Chinese family joined us. We were worried that we may be waiting there unnecessarily but the tracks of penguins on the sand as well as a sign that said Penguin colony gave us hope. We waited in the cold, okay it wasn't that cold for almost 2 hours. we needed to wait for about half an hour after sunset. Lisa and Tyler's eyes are much younger than ours and they were able to spot them right away. I expected giant Disney like penguins to come out of the water but they were very tiny and waddled very quickly to hide under the rocks below us.  There is an island called Phillips Island within an hour's drive and we may go visit there another time to see them again. I wish lisa and Tyler could be with us for the next visit.
The cottage that Norm booked in Port Campbell was perfect for the four of us. we could've fit all of our family and all of Ramzi's in that comfortable cottage. We we're told that from the cottage balcony we might be able to spot kangaroos in the wild but no such luck. we have yet to see our first live kangaroo in the wild we did see one on the road ...roadkill.
On our way home we visited the official site of the 12 apostles on a very windy day. it added to the fun and excitement . We took the less scenic road home and found ourselves on a foodie drive. We stopped in a chocolate factory Australian style and a cheese farm.
It was hard to say goodbye to Lisa and Tyler the next morning. We had so much fun with them! They headed up to Sydney and then to the outback and Uluru.
Norm took all three of us to the Berwick train station as I was heading out with my class for the great six graduating class Urban Camp in Melbourne .
